First World Issues.

I must say, planning on your future hair style is quite tiresome and tedious, especially trying to find pictures to use as examples for explaining your thoughts. So far I have not found a single picture of what I want. Therefore, I believe I will use the long forgotten medium of conversation to convey what I want – although this has not always proven to be a highly successful medium.

However, ignoring past mishaps, I will ask for the following:

  • short layers on top
  • front part still long enough to pin back in a large quiff (so perhaps leave the very front hair a little longer than the hair behind)
  • just long enough to tie up – but some hair while inevitably fall loose – so I am thinking just above the shoulders or maybe just sitting on them (I just don’t want my hair to flick out because it’s sitting on my shoulders)
  • layering all throughout
  • lots of volume – on the top, especially
  • edgy, sharp, retro, Agyness-inspired

That’s Style.

asdfThe bag really does it for me. Give a man a large bag which he carries by his feet, and I can die happy.

sdfsdg I’m a fan of shapeless dresses (or in this case, overcoat) and then figure defining stockings. I love the purple shoes too, especially as an open toe.

blueI love the blue that runs through this outfit: the blue scarf, the blue detail in the suit and the blue shirt underneath.

bag & shirtGorgeous man and gorgeous clutch.

leather & track  The leather and track is somewhat unconventional but I like it.

3119CwalkWeb  I love how it’s got a masculine notion, but feminine undertones created by the rolled up sleeves, high-waisted pants, the heels and the general posture and stance of the woman.

62509MVprada_114web This one is great. The necklace, sunglasses and shoes dress up this casual shirt and loose pants outfit; yet still remains casual. Contradiction? Maybe, but I love it anyway.

4159KateBrdway32Web1I love the shorts and man shirt combination. But mostly the shorts.

rolled short and LV Rolled shorts and Louis Vuitton = I like.

9289AlexsandraCol2206Web It’s androgynous yet still has those slight feminine touches. For instance the shoes and the necklaces.

6079DancestripesWeb I love everything about this picture – the shoes, the hair, the dress, the bag, the stockings and the pose. So lovely.

Finally, the greatest pants ever! Step aside, Shark Boy:

The Dynamics

I love the dynamics found in friendships that are made up of two boys and two girls. I love it even more so when there are the two sets of couples, as seen particularly in Exhibit A.

Exhibit A: The OC’s Summer, Seth, Ryan & Marissa.

While Exhibit B does not specifically identify the two couples, I still enjoy the cohesion and bonds shared between this relationship of four.

It’s All Falling Into Place

So, long story short – the new HIM album is really coming together now.

First, and for quite some time (probably since a few months after Venus Doom was released in September 2007), we heard that singer/song writer Ville Valo had started writing bits and pieces of new songs for the new album. The wheels had creaked forward.

Then, to further the excitement, there was news that the band (Ville, Mige, Gas, Burton & Linde) were heading to LA to talk with the record company about the new upcoming album.

Just recently, we heard the news that the band was now back in the studios to record said album. By now, the metaphorical wheels were fully in motion.

Even more recently (June 11), the title of the new album was released:
SCREAMWORKS: LOVE IN THEORY & PRACTICE

Finally, the track listing for the new album was released (13 November). It is as follows.

1.  Ode To Solitude
2.  Scared To Death
3.  Heart Killer
4.  Dying Song
5.  Disarm Me
6.  Love The Hardest Way
7.  Katherine Wheel
8.  In The Arms of Rain
9.  Shatter Me With Hope
10. In Venere Veritas
11. Acoustic Funeral
12. St Valentine
13. Smother A Heart

(Thanks to Metal Hammer who also provided a commentary for each song)

May I say, those aforementioned metaphorical wheels are now fully in motion and are speeding us to an unknown yet exciting place. Tally Ho, I say.

All we have to wait for now is the cover artwork and the actual release of the album, due out in February 2010 – hopefully before Soundwave (20 February).

New Album Update From Ville.

I am excited.
